Today, our last full day overseas, began at a 7:45 wake up call, this was followed by an 8am breaky We then packed our backpacks, ready for a 9:00 start. Our tour guide Zubs, met us in the lobby of the Royal Bintang hotel with the bus to pick us up and take us to the Batu cave.
After traveling about 20 minutes we arrived at the cave. So we went up the 272 stairs to the cave. Next to the stairs was a huge golden statue of one of their gods. At the end of the cave there was a smaller temple where they were making their offerings - one man was thanking their gods by rolling around the temple a number of times. Also people were carrying pots of water on their heads up to the temple.
After we left the cave we went to The Royal Selangor pewter factory where we participated in making our very own pewter bowl which we are able to take home. We were also aloud to take our aprons and we got a certificate of completion. But before we could do that we were shown how some of the things were made. We then continued into the gift shop before getting back on the bus.
On our way back To the hotel we stopped at the Patronas Twin Towers to take photos and just have a bit of look around.
We were then dropped off at the pavilion tower for lunch and to meet Mr McMillan because he went to the doctors while we were out. We ended up meeting him at a shop closer to the hotel.
We went for a swim before going shopping at two 6 story plazas. We bought a lot of stuff so we went back to the hotel, dropped our things off, meet up with Mr McMillan and then went for dinner. After dinner we walked back to our hotel and packed our bags. Then we had a tea party :)
Can't wait for my solid gold pewter present..24ct pleeze!
